Kitenge Cloth.jpg

Wear your African/African inspired attire on Fridays, here, there wherever you are! There is a movement stirring up in Africa called Kitenge Fridays that encourages people to wear traditional dress and/or fabrics on Fridays. It’s been done in West Africa for years (National Friday Wear Programme). If you don’t have any traditional clothes, nor fabrics, I encourage you to surf the net, because there are sooo many options out there to purchase. If you are like me, dust off that sewing machine and get your clothing design on! In case you were wondering, yes, traditional African attire is professional attire. I dare you to see how you feel in these Kitenge or African fabrics.
